2008 FantasyMLBTips Fantasy League: Owners' Feedback

After the FantasyMLBTips draft took place this past Saturday, all of the owners revealed their:

(A) Favorite pick that they were most proud of
(B) Least favorite pick that screamed for a “do-over”
(C) List of “Top 3 Teams” not including than their own

Teams Rosin Bag Grenadiers, All Eyez, and Estrella de Muerte were included on more “Top 3 Teams” lists than any other team, yet seven other teams drew consideration. What do you think? Is it a three-team race? Vote here or leave a comment!  

Estrella de Muerte says:
Best:  Corey Hart (R4) — “potential to go 30/25”
Worst: Adrian Gonzalez (R5) — “reached too early for Gonzo”
Top 3: Rosin Bag Grenadiers, Papelbong Hitters, Standard Errors

Fear the nut says:
Best:  Pat Burrell (R15) — “good insurance since both Kemp and Thome are both high risk”
Worst: Robinson Cano (R4) — “given that Kelly Johnson went in round 14, this was a mistake”
Top 3: All Eyez, Standard Errors, Rosin Bag Grenadiers   

Rosin Bag Grenadiers says:
Best:  Josh Hamilton (R12) — “HUGE upside for a mid- to late- rounder”
Worst: Roy Halladay (R9) — “reached for a little name-value security when there was better upside SP available”
Top 3: Estrella de Muerte, Mr. Met, Vaporizers 

Fantasy Uber Wizards says:
Best:  Justin Morneau (R4) — “Incredible value at #44….even thought I had Pujols and Berkman, there’s no way I could pass him up ”
Worst: Ryan Zimmerman (R6) — “by taking Zimm a round early, I lost out on Tejada and I’m stuck with the uncertainty that Yunel Escobar brings at SS”
Top 3: Papelbong Hitters, All Eyez, Rosin Bag Grenadiers   

UmustveMisremembered says:
Best:  J.J. Hardy (R15) — “even with Rollins, I couldn’t pass on the value of Hardy here”
Worst: Brian Wilson (R13) — “had to do it to get another closer”
Top 3: All Eyez, Estrella de Muerte, Standard Errors 

Standard Errors says:
Best:  Kevin Kouzmanoff (R18) — “I just think he’s going to have a really good year”
Worst: Billy Wagner (R7) — “I HATE taking a closer that early but I could smell a run and didn’t want to be without a solid one”
Top 3: Rosin Bag Grenadiers, Fear the nut, Estrella de Muerte 

Vaporizers says:
Best:  Joe Nathan (R6) — “good value pick”
Worst: Luis Castillo (R10) — “had the brand new mouse still in the box, but was too lazy to switch out the old mouse…AGH!”
Top 3: Estrella de Muerte, All Eyez, Fear the nuts 

Fence-Riders says:
Best:  Chase Utley (R1) — “Utley fell into my lap at #9; easy pick”
Worst: Eric Byrnes (R4) — “didn’t’ really want him here but I felt I needed speed”
Top 3: Mr. Met, All Eyez, Rosin Bag Grenadiers 

Papelbong Hitters says:
Best:  Jason Bay (R7) — “one bad season dropped him way down in the rankings, but I think he could have a bounce back year”
Worst: Javier Vazquez (R8) — “I waited too long to get pitching and got desperate”

Mr. Met says:
Best:  Jeff Kent (R19) — “great value pick”
Worst: Kelly Johnson (R14) — “should’ve went with another RP here”

All Eyez says: 
Best:  Aaron Hill (R21) — “gotta love my Mr. Irrelevant pick”
Worst: Ben Sheets (R11) — “never targeted him pre-draft; was one of those brain-freeze picks where you see him high on some ranking system and that he’s still available, so you pick him as time is running out”
